Terms and conditions
The terms on which we sell to you online. They don't affect your legal rights as a consumer.

1. About us
This website is run by Skee-Tex Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (number 00512896), registered office The Old Mill, Battlesbridge, Wickford, Essex, SS11 8TR. VAT number GB239502562. Contact us at [email protected] or on 01268 768282.
2. How ordering works
- We keep one of each size, and the same items are on sale in our shop. So when you order, we first check yours is on the shelf.
- When you order, your card is authorised — the money is held, not taken. We take it when we send your order, or when you collect it.
- Your order is a request to buy. The contract between us is made when we email to say it's been sent or is ready to collect. If we can't supply it — it's just sold in the shop, or it isn't in perfect condition — we'll tell you, release the hold, and you won't have been charged.
- If you order by phone, we'll hold the items and send you a secure link to pay. We never take card details over the phone. If the link isn't used within a day, the items go back on sale.
3. Prices
Prices include VAT. Delivery depends on where it's going and the size of the parcel, and is shown at checkout before you pay; it's free on orders over £50.00 to England and Wales. We deliver within the UK; for Europe, contact us for a price. If we've made an obvious mistake with a price, we'll tell you before we take any money and you can decide whether to go ahead.
4. Delivery and collection
The delivery and returns page has the details. Items are yours, and your responsibility, once delivered or collected.
5. Changing your mind
- You can cancel an order at any time before it's sent — just contact us, and the hold on your card is released.
- After it arrives you have 14 days to tell us you're cancelling, and 14 more to send it back. Return postage is paid by you unless the item is faulty or we sent the wrong thing. Items need to come back unused, as you received them. Boots that have been heat-moulded or had work done to fit your feet can't be returned unless they're faulty.
- We refund within 14 days of getting the item back, to the way you paid.
6. If something's wrong
If an item is faulty or not as described, you're entitled to a repair, replacement or refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Contact us and we'll put it right, including the cost of sending it back.
7. Servicing and boot fitting
We'll tell you the price before we start, and ring you before doing anything extra. Kit that's finished and not collected within three months may be sold to cover the cost of the work, after we've tried to contact you.
8. Gift vouchers
- Can be spent online or in the shop, on anything, in one go or over several visits.
- Last 12 months from when they're bought — the date is on the voucher.
- Can't be exchanged for cash. Treat the code like cash: anyone with it can spend it.
- If an order paid with a voucher is cancelled or refunded, the money goes back onto the voucher.
9. Our responsibility to you
We're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that's a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or not taking reasonable care. We don't exclude anything the law doesn't let us exclude, such as injury caused by our negligence. We're not responsible for business losses — we sell to consumers.
10. Everything else
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you have a complaint, contact us first — we're a small shop and we'll do our best to sort it out.
