About the Spyder Men's Leader Jacket Storm/Lime 2026/27

The Leader is Spyder's heritage all-mountain jacket, revised with modern fabric and construction for reliable performance across the mountain. It pairs a 30K/20K waterproof-breathable EXO SHIELD outer shell in 100% recycled polyester with 100 grams of PrimaLoft Black ECO insulation — enough warmth for moderate-to-cold days without excessive bulk. The fabric features 4-way stretch and sealed seams throughout, so you stay dry and move freely whether you're carving groomers or exploring off-piste.

Why we rate it

The 30K waterproofing sits between lighter touring shells and heavier freeride jackets, making it genuinely all-mountain: you're protected in wet spring snow and active in deep powder without overheating on the skin track. PrimaLoft Black is lofty and compressible, meaning you can layer it under a shell or wear it as your only insulation. The construction is thorough — sealed seams, underarm vents with zippers, removable powder skirt, and a helmet-compatible hood. Neon-lime trim and multi-panel colour-blocking make you visible without looking overdone.

Who it's for

Intermediate and advanced skiers who want one jacket for varied terrain and spring-to-early-winter conditions. Not designed for extreme alpine exposure or sustained -20°C cold (you'd want more insulation or a heavier shell); equally, it's overkill for resort-only days in mild weather. The sizing runs true through S–XXL.
