About the Black Crows Vena Cor Skis 2026/27
The Vena Cor are all-mountain skis designed for advanced and expert skiers looking for precision, float and playfulness in one package. The swallowtail design and double rocker profile make them exceptionally manoeuvrable and easy to pivot, while maintaining control and edge grip when you want it. They excel in soft snow and on variable terrain, yet carve responsively on groomed slopes.
Why we rate it
These skis balance two things that often compete: they float brilliantly in powder thanks to the double rocker profile and swallowtail shape, yet they carve with precision when you rail an edge on piste. The intermediate flex throughout keeps them forgiving enough to play with, but responsive enough to trust at speed. The poplar woodcore and full-length carbon stripes give you pop and liveliness without feeling twitchy. Short turn radius means you're never fighting them through tight terrain or moguls.
The semi-cap construction with ABS sidewalls all around adds durability and impact resistance—important when you're exploring off-piste. They feel balanced underfoot, neither tip-heavy nor tail-biased, which makes them easy to control whether you're short-radius turning or charging downhill.
Who it's for
Advanced to expert skiers who spend time across the whole mountain—piste, off-piste, trees and variable snow. They suit skiers who value manoeuvrability and playfulness as much as performance, and who want a single quiver ski rather than specialist planks. The 100 mm waist width and short sidecut radius work well for skiers who prefer to carve and pivot rather than purely float.
