Which ski length?

Ski length depends on your height and how you ski. Shorter is easier to turn; longer is steadier at speed.

About the Nordica Steadfast 80 DC + TP2 Light 11 FDT

The Steadfast 80 DC is Nordica's on-piste-leaning all-mountain ski, built for skiers who spend most of their time carving hardpack and corduroy but want the security of something wider than a pure carving ski. The Energy TI DC construction—Nordica's double-core technology with elastomer damping and titanal layers—gives it a solid, responsive feel underfoot and damps chatter without dulling edge feel.

The traditional camber with tip rocker shapes are tuned for short-radius and medium turns, and the ski drives hard through the fall line when you commit to it. This is not a powder ski, nor particularly a freeride tool: it's built for technique-focused skiers who want one ski that handles everything from moguls to crud without apology. The 80 mm waist sits in that sweet spot where you get flotation in soft snow without sacrificing edge precision on hard snow.

Binding-wise, the Marker TP2 Light 11 FDT is a free-demo binding: it releases freely both laterally and in forward fall, making it suitable for lift-assisted skiing only. The 3–11 DIN range suits intermediate and advanced skiers, and GripWalk compatibility lets you walk in mountain boots if fitted. At 80 mm width and with proven geometry, these skis respond to decisive input—short turns feel effortless, and carving feels crisp.

Why we rate it

The double-core construction with elastomer damping smooths out vibration without deadening feel, so you stay connected to the snow. The Energy TI reinforcement adds snap and responsiveness through edge transitions. Camber-forward geometry with tip rocker is a proven combination for skiers who want precision first and adventure second.

The TP2 Light binding is straightforward kit—no touring capability, but reliable release and simple adjustment. The pairing is honest: a piste-biased ski with a piste-biased binding, no compromise.

Who it's for

Intermediate to advanced skiers (ability 3–4) who ski mostly on-piste and groomed runs, with confidence in icy or firm conditions. Works well for technique-minded skiers in the Alps, Scotland, or resort runs who want edge precision and quick turns without carrying powder capability. The 80 mm width suits regular to narrow boots; wider-footed skiers might feel slightly constrained.

Key features

  • Energy TI DC construction — Double-core wood with titanal and elastomer damping for responsive, torsionally stiff performance on hard snow.
  • On-piste rocker — Traditional camber underfoot with tip rocker for short and medium-radius turns, not powder-biased.
  • 80 mm waist — Wide enough for soft snow and crud, narrow enough for precise edge control on hard pack.
  • Marker TP2 Light 11 FDT binding — Free-demo release, 3–11 DIN, GripWalk-compatible, no walk mode.
  • Available lengths — 156 cm to 179 cm, with turn radius scaling from 12.8 m (156) to 15.8 m (179).
  • Lightweight platform — Core weights from 2.28 kg (156 cm) to 3.82 kg (179 cm) per pair, suitable for all-day resort use.
