About the Hestra Leather Balm

This leather balm keeps your leather gloves supple and water-resistant, preventing the cracking and abrasion that comes from drying out. The formula uses beeswax, lanolin, carnauba wax and neatsfoot oil—all natural, petroleum-free, non-toxic and biodegradable. It comes in a reusable tin and is particularly effective on goatskin and cowhide sports gloves.

Why we rate it

The blend of traditional ingredients works to restore the leather's natural moisture barrier without harming the material. It's simple to use: apply with a polishing cloth and rub until the leather is saturated. The tin is built to last, so you'll use it again and again. Worth knowing: it may slightly darken light-coloured leather, so test on a small area first.

Who it's for

Anyone with quality leather gloves who wants to keep them in good condition. Most effective on goatskin and cowhide; deerskin, elk leather and hairsheep don't absorb it as readily.
