Picture's Object Jkt is a 20K/20K waterproof-breathable shell jacket with 60g synthetic insulation, taped seams, and two-way pit zips for variable-condition skiing. Made from circular polyester with Teflon EcoElite DWR treatment.
The Object Jkt is a straightforward resort shell designed to keep you dry across a full day of skiing in changing conditions. Picture specs it at 20,000 mm waterproofing and 20,000 g/m²/24h breathability with fully taped seams—solid numbers for all-mountain use. The torso carries 60 g/m² synthetic insulation (lighter on the sleeves and hood), enough to add warmth without bulk when layered over a mid-layer.
The construction is clean and practical. You get two-way pit zips with mesh venting, so on the skin-out days you can dump heat fast. The hood's three-point adjustment system and fixed snow skirt work together to seal out snow; the hood itself is black (on the Pure Cashmere body), which is better for visibility than a light-coloured hood. Seams are fully taped, not just critical ones, so every internal fold is sealed. The main zip is a YKK two-way waterproof, letting you open from hem or chest, and the cuffs use hook-and-loop fastening with Lycra thumbholes—straightforward and quick to adjust mid-run. Pockets include ski-pass access, zipped hand pockets under flaps, a chest pocket with a built-in goggle cleaner, and interior mesh and zipped pockets for gloves or snacks.
Picture uses 100% circular polyester in the face fabric (reclaimed textile waste and manufacturing scraps) and finishes it with Teflon EcoElite, a PFC-free water-repellent. It's not ultralight—1.154 kg for the whole jacket—but it's not designed to be. This is everyday skiing wear, not a racing shell.
Intermediates and advanced skiers who want a reliable jacket for variable conditions without overthinking it. The fit is straight, so it works over mid-layers without feeling baggy or restrictive. The Pure Cashmere colourway (warm cream with a black hood and hood trim) suits most base layers and coordinates easily. If you prefer a close fit or expect to tour, look elsewhere; if you want a jacket that handles spring slush and autumn refrozen crud without drama, this works.
From the fitting room: The pit zips are genuinely useful—open them before you're overheating and you'll stay comfortable without stopping. The black hood on a light body is a clever touch if you ski in flat light.
Straight cut, so it sits comfortably over a fleece or wool mid-layer without feeling loose around the waist. The shoulder seams sit at shoulder, and the sleeve length is standard for the size. Hook-and-loop cuffs adjust easily—tighten them snug enough to overlap your glove cuff. The hem sits just below the hips and is adjustable via drawcord if you want a closer seal over your ski pants. Not built for a race fit; built for comfort on a long day.
