  • Stand on paper, heel against a wall, in a thin sock. Mark your longest toe and measure — do both feet and use the bigger one.
  • Between sizes? Go for the larger. A fitter can take up space in a boot, but can't make a short one longer.
  • Brands and lasts vary. Walk in and a fitter will check your foot in the shell — no appointment needed.

About the Nordica Speedmachine 3 110 BOA (GW)

The Speedmachine 3 110 BOA combines micro-adjustable fit with all-day comfort for intermediate and advanced skiers working the whole mountain. The BOA dial system paired with two manual buckles gives you precise control, whilst the 3D Cork Fit liner wraps your heel with customised support and keeps warmth close. You get Primaloft® insulation throughout—originally military-spec, lightweight and water-resistant—so your feet stay warm without the bulk.

Why we rate it

The medium flex (110 rating) rides responsive without demanding perfect technique every run. Nordica's Tri Force architecture—three different plastic densities—channels energy where it matters whilst absorbing chatter. The cork heel mould is a neat touch: heavier use warms and shapes it to your anatomy, improving both comfort and shock damping. Gripwalk® Extra-Grip sole has a rocker profile that makes walking between the car and lift genuinely pleasant, and the full Gripwalk® compatibility means your bindings will work properly.

Step-in is simplified by the Easy Entry soft flap at the instep, and if pressure spots develop, Nordica's infrared heating technology (at a boot fitter's workbench) can soften specific zones precisely.

Who it's for

Intermediate to advanced skiers seeking comfort across a full day without sacrificing responsiveness. The 100 mm last width suits medium-volume feet. Medium-flex boots like this suit variable snow and mixed terrain. Not for narrow feet, and not for strict racing or extreme freeride work.

Key features

  • BOA Fit System — micro-dial closure with two manual buckles below; dial in exact pressure without fiddling with straps
  • 3D Cork Fit Primaloft® liner — cork in the heel moulds to your anatomy with use; Primaloft® insulation wicks moisture and retains warmth
  • Tri Force + BOA architecture — three material densities work with the BOA system for energy transmission and vibration dampening
  • Gripwalk® Extra-Grip sole — Rockered tread pattern for confident walking; full Gripwalk® binding compatibility
  • Easy Entry soft flap — softer plastic at the instep speeds step-in and reduces fatigue
  • Infrared customisation — boot fitters can use targeted heating to soften pressure points
  • Bimat PU shell and cuff — durable, responsive plastic construction

Fit and feel

Medium volume (100 mm last width at Mondopoint 26.5). The flex is moderate and progressive, so initial entry feels accessible but stiffens as you engage harder. Calf adjustment is modest—this is a medium-volume boot without extensive calf padding. The cork heel feature improves fit over weeks of use. Weight sits at 1,910 g per half pair, which is reasonably light for an all-mountain boot.
