Fit and feel

Medium-wide last (102 mm) with a balanced volume that suits most women's feet. The cork-lined heel is noticeably firmer than a standard boot, which is the point—it stops your foot sliding forward on the descent. The 85 flex feels responsive but not punishing. Calf adjustment via the back buckle is straightforward but limited; if you have a very slim or very muscular calf, try them on first.
